Herrera shares health care solutions with federal lawmakers
18th District lawmaker sends letter to Murray, Cantwell and Baird

Rep. Jaime Herrera, R-Ridgefield, has written a letter to U.S. Sens. Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell and U.S. Rep. Brian Baird acknowledging the importance of their upcoming decisions on health care reform and offering them solutions for Washington state.

The 18th District lawmaker, who sits on the House Health Care and Wellness Committee, explained that the nine-point plan she supports is "based on the belief that people make better decisions about their health care needs than politicians and bureaucrats." She also emphasized that "the plan would protect those who have quality health care and patient freedom, increase access, lower costs, embrace competition, and fix the state's Basic Health Plan."
