Biography

PERSONAL:
Norm Johnson is a lifelong resident of Yakima County. He was born and raised in Toppenish and graduated from Toppenish High School. He attended Washington State University and Central Washington University, and served two years in the United States Army. Norm lives in Yakima and has five grown sons and 10 grandchildren.

Mabton School District - teacher, counselor

Eagle High School, Toppenish - served as principal for five years
Retired in 1997

LOCAL GOVERNMENT:
Councilman, Mabton Town Council - served for 2 1/2 years
Acting mayor, City of Mabton - served for 1/2 year
Councilman, Toppenish City Council - served for 20 years
Mayor, City of Toppenish - served for four years
Councilman, Yakima City Council - 2005-2008
