Biography
PERSONAL:
Joel is a life-long Washingtonian who currently lives in Wauconda.
He lives on the family ranch with his wife, Sara, and their son,
Jed.
EDUCATION:
Mercer Island High School
Attended Green River Community College and Olympic Community College
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Joel is self-employed as a rancher.

RECENT AWARDS & HONORS:
Joel was honored with the 2007 "Legislator of the Year" award
from Washington State Farm Bureau for his work on Critical Areas
Ordinance legislation in 2007 and his tireless work to preserve
private property rights. He was also recognized as the "2006
Legislator of the Year" by the Cattle Producers of Washington
for his legislative and local work to promote the heritage of
ranching and farming in Washington.
