Welcome to my Web page! I hope you will
find it a great resource and a way to stay connected with what’s
happening in Olympia.
I am so grateful and honored that you have chosen me to represent you
and your interests in the Legislature. Please know that I will work
tirelessly on your behalf and will represent you with honor, dignity and
respect.
The 2010 legislative session promises to be one filled with high
expectations and drama. Because last year's budget shortfall of $9
billion was closed with a heavy reliance on one-time money and federal
bailout dollars, we are already facing another budget shortfall of around
$1.7 billion. Government needs to change the way services are
delivered and like families, needs to prioritize spending during these
tough economic times.
One of my highest priorities
will be protecting taxpayers from bailing out a government that has
engaged in irresponsible and shortsighted budgeting practices.
