House Republicans are making job creation a top priority. We want reforms that will bring prosperity and opportunity to families, including better wages, affordable health care and an improved quality of life. New private sector jobs are the fuel for healthier economies throughout all of Washington. Strong, diversified economies offer security to working families and provide the resources that pay for better schools, police and fire protection, parks and other services that make Washington a great place to live.

Republicans also want to create a government citizens can trust. We would start by balancing the state budget without tax increases, implementing performance audit measures to make state agencies more accountable in delivering services in a cost-effective manner, giving citizens a stronger voice in our state’s onerous regulatory system, and ensuring access to affordable health care for citizens with less government interference in the decisions that belong to patients and their doctors.
